Neve rtheless, they managed to gain a good reputation thanks to thei r o riginal music. Afte r the Velvet Revolution and the fall of Communism, the band took advantage of open bo rde rs and sta rted giving conce rts ab road. At that time they also established coope ration with a violin vi rtuoso Ja roslav Sveceny and va rious symphonic o rchest ras (altogethe r five) in expe rimental p rojects called Jablkon & Sveceny and Symphonic Jablkon. Since 2000 the band has been giving conce rts and reco rding music, besides that they have also reco rded two film soundt racks, seve ral TV and theat re p roductions and have regula rly pe rfo rmed with a dance ac robatic t roupe Galumpha (USA). Du ring the last ten yea rs Jablkon has become much younge r, which means that out of the fo rme r lineup the re has remained only “the soul of the band“ Michal Nemec. Nowadays Jablkon is playing in this lineup: Michal Nemec (vocals, guita r – autho r of the majo rity of music and ly rics), Michal Ca rvan (guita rs, cho rus), Johnny Judl (bass-guita r, elect rical guita r, bassoon, cho rus), Petr Chlouba (d rums, pe rcussions, acco rdion, cho rus). All of them g raduated at a Conse rvato ry o r the Academy of Pe rfo rming A rts. The main figu re on the stage is a giant singe r Michal Nemec, Martin Carvan is an elegant and b rilliant guita r magician, Johnny Judl a robust, uncomp romisingly playing bassist and Petr Chlouba is a multi-handed d rumme r who rumbles, jingles o r st rokes as needed. Undoubtedly, today Jablkon is influenced by va rious contempo ra ry musical st reams, howeve r its music remains unique and inimitably enticing. Jablkon has won two Andel Music Awa rds (Czech pa rallel to G rammy Awa rds) and has been nominated fo r this awa rd eight times. Some quotations f
